Who we are: Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) is a self-funded operation with over 11 million dollars in operational revenue and a dedicated group of 145 full and part-time employees responsible for the construction, maintenance, enforcement, and administration of most of the university's parking facilities, planning and staffing for thousands of annual campus events, and the safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation of faculty, staff, students, and visitors. What your key responsibilities will be: The Traffic, Events, and Enforcement Manger leads the events and enforcement programs in Parking and Transportation Services by improving current levels of service, increasing revenues, initiating new efficiencies, and improving technologies through the use of industry best practices, data and trend analysis methods, and sound practices of financial oversight. As the manager, this position leads both the day-to-day operations of the events and enforcement units while setting direction and making strategic decisions for future growth and operational improvement. The Traffic, Events, and Enforcement Manger is expected to possess competencies and exhibit behaviors that foster communication internally and externally, anticipate and address customer needs, improve and adapt business processes, promote industry best practices, build and strengthen relationships, motivate and engage employees, set strategic direction, and integrate entrepreneurship and business acumen. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Additional professional experience in business-related field may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Three years of management experience, supervising a staff of at least three.
Two years of revenue management experience.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & abilities:
Ability to plan and complete complex and multiple work assignments.
Expertise with financial and statistical data, and the ability to provide and analyze reports, budgets, and proposals useful for management decision-making.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Be able to successfully manage support staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of event and parking management experience.
Three years of enforcement experience.
