GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops, implements, and coordinates a comprehensive college-wide safety program to include: protection of College property and campuses, personnel, students, guests, vendors, and clients; law enforcement, traffic control, fire prevention, physical security, and accident prevention, emergency preparedness procedures and crisis management plans; disaster, fire, and life safety, intruder and workplace violence, and other training and drill programs; and provides for general campus safety. Position provides risk assessment for all physical assets including coordination with IT Department for data and network security.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field plus two (2) years’ experience in law enforcement, to include one (1) year in a supervisory capacity; Must be certified as required by SLED/Law Enforcement Council and Spartanburg Community College (SCC).
